"Theoretical chance is not enough..."
We follow the adventures of an elderly neurosurgeon and his series of patients who have conditions that range from harmless to fatal. A friend of the doctor turns out to have a tumor, a lively, apparently healthy woman turns out to have leukemia. A little boy turns out to have a fatal brain tumor and the doctor thinks surgery is useless. However, the boy's grandfather insists on surgery.
