Sins of the Mother plot

Student Shay has been on the run from her childhood for years, but now she's broke, overwrought and unable to cope with the stress of college. She decides to face her past and returns to her native village. Back to her alcoholic and aggressive mother Nona with whom she has had no contact in ages. When she gets home, she finds something completely different from what she expected. Nona turns out to have a second daughter and has dealt with her alcohol problems. Shay is overwhelmed by the new situation. Nona is sorry, but Shay still has a lot of anger in her and doesn't know if she can just give her mother a second chance.
