Signori Giurati... plot

Julienne Santiago wins at the casino and then abuses her admirer, Dr. Nancey, to invest the money in an opium den. A classy kit for rich and noble opium users. For the latter she involves Marquis St. Vallier in her plans. The opium den takes on real allure, hidden behind many entrances and with exotic staff. The blue salon of the so-called house of oblivion is soon full of dignified, but totally pampused ladies and gentlemen who smoke their pipes with satisfaction. Julienne's relationship with the Marquis grows ever closer, sparking jealousy in the doctor. She betrays the doctor's involvement in the opium trade, forcing him to leave. But then she makes the mistake of cheating the Marquis with his son-in-law.
