Sie und Er plot

A married couple, Charlotte (Senta Berger) and Georg (Reimar J. Baur), struggle when the kids move out and they have to manage their time together. Their relationship is further disrupted when Georg falls in love with someone else, after which Charlotte also discovers a new flame. Both come to the conclusion that the new relationships do not offer the best solutions. The past is starting to play an increasingly important role.
