Siberia plot

"Shows the horrors of the Siberian salt mines, the mutiny of political exiles and love and romance that triumphed despite oppression."

Russian schoolteacher Sonia Vronsky is exiled to Siberia because of her sympathies for the revolutionaries. There, she is protected by her lover, Leonid Petroff. When the revolution breaks out, even loyal Lenin supporters like Sonia are not safe from the mutinous mob. She and her lover are forced to flee across the Siberian steppes.
