Sestricky plot

Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. Marie has just completed her training as a nurse. She is laughed at at school because she is the only one there who is still a virgin. However, when she tries to do something about it with a patient, they are caught. Marie is punished and forced to accept a job in a faraway border town, where no one else wants to be sent. There she is trained by the older colleague Babi and she meets the patient again.
