Señorita plot

Sofia, a transsexual woman, wants to stop prostitution in Manila and start a new life. This opportunity arises when an old friend asks her to take care of her 12-year-old son Tomas. She has to work abroad for a year. Sofia moves to a small town to take care of Tomas and changes her name to Donna. It soon becomes apparent that the mayor, who is seeking reelection, is a friend of one of her regulars in Manila. In her efforts to break with her past, she becomes entangled in the local politics of the city and is forced to lead a double life.
