Secret Nation plot

Back home at St. John's, after too many years in Montreal, history student Frieda Vokey finds herself involuntarily caught up in a web of mysteries and intrigue surrounding Newfoundland's entry into Canada in 1949. Her father Lester, who at the time was part of the great debate ', strangely enough, is very silent to her. The search for the truth becomes a veritable quest that involves a daring nocturnal burglary. This may symbolize Frieda's entry into the maze of her own psyche. All quite scary, but Frieda's mother Oona is always ready to make sure the truth comes out.
