Sayônara plot
Japan after a nuclear disaster. Tanya is terminally ill and awaits the results of a government-organized evacuation lottery. But she's a migrant, so her chances of winning are slim. Retired to herself, she spends her last days in a desolate place with Leona, a female robot in a wheelchair, who becomes her one true friend. “Sayonara” takes a look at a post-apocalyptic world and relationships between humans and cyborgs. Tanya forms a deep emotional bond with the robot, who not only resembles a human, but also learns to understand things that only humans can know - mortality and fear of death...
