Sansibar oder der Letzte Grund plot

Evangelical priest Helander (Peter Sodann) tries to smuggle a statue of Barlach, an artist persecuted by the Nazis, to Sweden. For this he calls in courier Gregor (Peter Kremer) and the communist Heinrich (Michael Gwisdek), who, however, do not get along. When a young beautiful woman tries to flee from the Nazis, the two finally realize they need to work together.
