Salome of the Tenements plot
Sonya Mendel works for a Jewish newspaper. She interviews John Manning about the construction of a new settlement. He invites her to dinner and she borrows clothes from Jakey Salomon so that she looks presentable. She also borrows money from banker Ben and in return gives a note promising to pay back $150 if she marries Manning. Will all this work out well?
