Sakura no Sono plot

A group of students at a girls' school struggle with stage fright on the eve of the premiere of a school performance of Chekhov's 'The Cherry Garden'. When the rebellious Kiko is caught truant, the school management considers canceling the performance, after which the lead actress Chiyoko suddenly collapses. When she is comforted by fellow performer and friend Yuboku, it appears that mutual jealousy and budding sexuality are a greater threat to the performance of the performance than the stage fright.
