Barbara O'Brien, an Irish Catholic mother from New York, says her rosary daily and swears profusely as she takes her children to school and teaches them about life. When her son Jimmy, a college freshman, becomes involved in a tragic hazing incident, her life is shattered. Taking the law into her own hands, she travels across the country taking in mothers who have lost sons to hazing in an attempt to prove the university's liability.
