Rozstanie plot

Magdalena visits a place from her childhood, her grandfather's house, to attend his funeral. She finds out that the place and the people no longer resemble her memories. The constant attention oppresses her and people behave more and more selfishly, under the influence of the tensions brought about by the cold war. She falls in love with a young man she met on the train, but the family has another boy in mind for her.
