Rote Sterne überm Feld plot
Tine is a member of the 'Aesthetic Left'. She commits daring artistic acts in the hope of bringing about social change. Fleeing the police, she heads to her East German birthplace Bad Kleinen, a rural village that seems stuck in the previous century. But history turns out to be uncertain when a skeleton is dredged up from the lake. Does it have anything to do with the Nazis? With terrorism? And are the family histories of the local residents involved? When Tine decides to make a short film with a group of young people, layers are quickly added to this ever-expanding puzzle.
