Rosa La China plot

The 1950s in Havana. Criminal Santiago Ordenez, better known as Dulzura, owns the most notorious illegal gambling den in the city. Shady deals with the police give him the necessary protection. Rosa, a singer at the club and Dulzura's mistress, cheats on him with the handsome young Marco, who works in the gambling den. Marco's sister Laura, in turn, has an affair with a local politician. As the romantic entanglements begin (and end), political relations begin to shift and the Cuban population is gearing up for a revolution, a revolution that will have a major impact on Dulzura's nightclub.
