Romeo and Juliet plot
The Montagues and the Capulets, two noble houses of Verona, are at odds with each other. Romeo, the Montague heir, believes he is in love with Rosaline, a pale beauty who despises all men. To make him forget, his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio, convince him to go with them, masked, to the great Capulet party. There he sees Juliet, the Capulets' daughter, and the two young men fall deeply in love at first sight.
