Rokku Wanko no Shima plot

In 2008, all residents of the island of Miyakejima had to be evacuated to Tokyo due to a volcanic eruption. All but one: Shin's dog Rock. Rock is the dog of the Noyama family, who jointly run the inn “Taiyo”. Now Shin, his parents Matsuo and Takako, and his grandmother Fusako must survive as an evacuee in Tokyo. Still, they hope to see Rock again one day.
