A girl (Tuesday Weld) desperately wants to shine at a rock 'n roll party at school and she says she needs that one beautiful, but expensive dress. She does everything she can to raise enough money to buy it. Meanwhile, she and her friends watch the television program of disc jockey Alan Freed, which includes Chuck Berry.
