River's End plot
"Rescuing her was just the beginning of his adventure."
Clay Watkins is a 17-year-old boy whose life is spiraling downward from his tantrums and grief over the death of his father. Difficulties at his new school, expelled from the basketball team and being wanted for a petty crime add to his grandfather Buster's concerns. Buster is also the sheriff of the town. Buster gives Clay one last chance to get back on track and gives him a choice: canoe 60 miles down the rugged Pecos River or end up in jail. Clay opts for the canoe trip and gets more than he bargained for when he encounters two bandits who have kidnapped a girl and are on their way to the Mexican border.
