Reportage 57 plot
Greater Berlin at the time of Elvis Presley and Romy Schneider, who were then the idols of the youth. Far from this glittering world are Inge and Heinz, a young couple from East Berlin, who both work in the west of the city. The narrowness of their daily life begins with the hiding of their young love. Tired of being exploited by her uncle as a cheap worker, Inge strives to take a job as a waitress at short notice. For Heinz, however, it is unclear where his path will lead him. He eventually lets his own father hire him as a cheap undeclared worker.
