A professor claims that his great-grandfather was the son of Louis XV and the beautiful unknown Véridique. He tells his pupils in fragments the historical story of the Champs-Élysées, which takes place from 1697 to 1938. He goes through the reign of Louis XV, the French Revolution, the time of Napoleon and the transition to the Republic.
