"In a perfect world...they never would have met."
After Dutch Van Den Broeck has lost his wife in a plane crash, he discovers that she was cheating on another man, with whom she was on the plane together. He meets this man's wife, Kay Chandler, who turns out to be an important congresswoman. Dutch sets out to uncover the truth and find out what they were up to.

Harrison Ford in another one of his signature roles. Only this time in a film that shifts from genre to genre and yet again and again the viewer is faced with surprises. Unfortunately, it still gets quite messy at times. However, I still managed to enjoy myself. The film goes from Mystery: with the fact that Dutch's wife dies in the plane crash but that all kinds of myseries happen again that his wife was not identified in that accident and is not on the passenger list either. Yes, another typical puzzle movie of which there are already 100s. Still, the film is refreshing and quite entertaining. Harrison Ford is back on track and his name is suspiciously Dutch: "Dutch" van den Broeck 
. Kristen Scott Thomas also had a great presence. The romantic scenes are sometimes still annoying.
The ending is still very surprising.

Although I have quite a high regard for Harrison Ford as a "nineties actor" I have never seen these Random hearts, simply out of disinterest, because he is not that unknown. The premise of the film is fine where an affair comes to the fore when the plane the lovebirds were on crashes. Where the film will go afterwards is a mystery to me.
It leads to long uninteresting scenes with no real content. It wasn't all that exciting. It only gets worse when the two stragglers start a relationship themselves. The acting performances save the film a bit, but with its almost 130 minutes, it could easily take fifteen minutes. Despite being deceived, there was just too little drama and emotion in the film. The focus was elsewhere…
Bit of a cliché film, not super bad, but one that you will soon forget.
