Leyli is a young, modern woman from Baku, Azerbaijan. She is a mother, wife, daughter and she works. Juggling her many roles and responsibilities in the midst of a busy, complicated life, she struggles to find her place in a culture that is simultaneously Islamic and secular, both progressive and traditional. She helps her son navigate personal dilemmas at school, assumes her job responsibilities, and provides her husband with career advice. Still, she struggles to find time for herself, and when she does, her energy and focus are suppressed.
