Przemiany plot

Thirty-year-old Adrian goes to visit the family of his girlfriend Wanda, to ask for her hand. Wanda lives with her mother and her two sisters: Marta, who is married to Tadeusz, and Basia, mother of little Alicja. Adrian is not allowed to marry by the bossy and bitter mother because of his tumultuous past (he had been married once and besides, he has been an addict). The presence of the rather direct Adrian upsets the fragile balance in the family. Marta has marital problems and is strongly attracted to Adrian. Basia, who does not want to reveal who the father of her child is, gets a serious diabetes attack after a heated argument with Adrian, from which she dies. A while later Wanda, Adrian, Marta and Tadeusz reunite. The conflicts soon flare up again and reach a dramatic climax.
