Prisoners of Paradise plot

In the year 1925, seventeen-year-old orphaned girl Lucy is placed under the guardianship of her uncle. For this she exchanges England for Mauritius. The lavish splendor of her surroundings seduces Lucy until she finds herself at odds with her uncle. When she meets the laborer Krishna, who works on a plantation, they fall for each other.
