Pomni Imya Svoye plot

At the start of World War II, Zinaida, a Russian woman, is captured together with her son Gena and sent by the Germans to Auschwitz concentration camp along with other women and children. They spend a short time together in the camp until they are separated. First within Auschwitz itself, then when the Germans lose the war and decide to evacuate, also within Europe. More than twenty years later, Zinaida lives in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg) and receives news from Gdańsk, a city in Poland.
