Pogrzeb Kartofla plot

All Mateusz wants to do, now that the war is over and he is liberated from a German concentration camp, is return to his old village. But when he arrives, the villagers see him as a Jew (which he is not) and do everything to make his life miserable. Meanwhile, the country becomes a communist state and that also brings major changes.
