Playgirl plot

"You call her a 'Playgirl'...but this girl plays for keeps!"

Nightclub singer Fran Davis explains to her friend Phyllis Matthews what life is like in the big city. Fran's husband Mike Marsh feels unhappy in his marriage and falls in love with Phyllis. When Fran confronts Phyllis and Mike about this situation, a fight ensues and Mike is killed. Fran manages to flee, but when Phyllis is accused of the murder, she decides to help her friend after all.
