Pismak plot
At the beginning of World War I, Rafal, a young magazine publisher, is jailed for blasphemous articles. The magistrate of the Polish town under Russian administration also suspects him of participating in a secret political movement. In prison, Rafa? plenty of opportunity to reflect on his life, but he also embarks on a long-cherished plan: to write a book. In addition, he gets a typhus attack. When he recovers from his feverish delirium, the frontline has passed the town and he is released. "This is no time for literary fiction", and he decides to help defend his homeland.
