Pieces plot

"A group of interconnected people living with mental illness undertake an art therapy class that transforms not only their lives but the life of their teacher."

A visual arts teacher and her class are given the task of creating the decor for a professional dance performance. A film crew records this process to make a documentary. During the filming, they are confronted with the students' personal stories and their psychological problems.
