Perfume de Gardênia plot

The film is set in an identity-less Brazil in economically difficult times. The plot centers around the couple Daniel and Gisa. Daniel is a taxi driver and obsessed with the police reports he hears on the taxi radio. Gisa is a quiet housewife who gets tired of her boring existence. One day, she is discovered by a dubious filmmaker who makes her a star. Gisa drops her husband; he is left alone with their son Quim. Daniel is torn between feelings of revenge towards his wife and feelings of jealousy towards his teenage son who wants to join his mother. He has to do something.
