Peach Plum Pear plot

"What amount of love can keep the bad things from you?"

Jesse and his friend Will are on their way to Chicago from Los Angeles in search of Jesse's father, who lives there. However, their car is stolen along the way. As a result, they are stranded in a small town in Nebraska. During their stay, they work for Hank, a rough handyman, in exchange for his car. Hank's wife Sharon has agreed to let Jesse and Will move in with them temporarily. Hank, Sharon and girl next door Dora, who has troubled relationships with the men in her life, teach Jesse surprising lessons about relationships and herself.
