PAWNS plot

In 1918, William, a young British soldier new to the battlefield, finds himself sharing a locked room with the enemy German soldier Karl, after witnessing the massacre on the battlefield. A game of chess in 1973 rekindles the vivid memories of the two players of their fateful meeting during the Great War of 1914. Will they be able to look beyond their differences and rediscover their humanity?
