Pâtonâzu plot
19-year-old unemployed Tsuyoshi Osanai arrives at a school where they train guide dogs. After two years of training, Tsuyoshi becomes an assistant trainer. The first dog he trains is Chie. Chie was taken from his mother after just two months and has lived with the Hasegawa family ever since. Chie stayed there for ten months and was then sent to dog training school. Tsuyoshi tries to train Chie as a guide dog, but fails. Therefore, Tsuyoshi talks to Miwa, the Hasegawa's 10-year-old daughter, because she has a very special bond with the dog. One day, in front of Tsuyoshi and Chie, the blind rock singer Makoto shows up. Makoto went blind in an accident. Since she lost her sight, Makoto has closed herself off spiritually from the world. Tsuyoshi and Chie try to cheer Makoto up, but then an accident happens to Chie.
