Paris at Midnight plot
Eugène de Rastagnic, a poor artist, loves Victorine Tallefer, a girl staying in the same boarding house in Paris, but he turns away from her for lack of money. They console Frédéric Tallefer, an old man who also stays in the same place, and who gives all his money to his two daughters who live in comfort. Eugène meets Delphine, one of the man's daughters, and falls in love with her afterwards. Will Eugène and Victorine ever be reunited?
