Paradeisa plot

Twelve-year-old Lou lives with her eccentric father Edgar, a failed artist whose manic periods swing between euphoria and depression. When he loses his inheritance, he devises the absurd plan to fake his own death so that his paintings will be sold again. As a result, Lou and her brother Jonathan declare their father dead, complete with a staged funeral and fake death notices. However, due to their father's instability, his children are trapped between loyalty and their own survival.
