Para Aduma plot
Benny's hair is as red as the fur of her pious father's precious calf - which he believes will bring salvation. But the 17-year-old feels just as lonely and trapped as that calf in his enclosure. Benny's mother died at birth, and she grew up alone with her caring yet patriarchal father. He is an authoritarian figure and a mentor to many people in their religious community in Jerusalem. Benny becomes increasingly critical of her father's religious, utopian nationalism, and then there's Yael, the confident young woman who stirs up a whirlwind of desires and emotions within her.
