Pai Nosso - Os Últimos Dias de Salazar plot
Portugal, 1968. António de Oliveira Salazar, the world’s longest-serving fascist dictator, has ruled his country and its many colonies for 36 years. When a fall leaves him vulnerable and incapacitated, he is sent to his official residence, the Palacete de São Bento, to recuperate. Little does he realize that his power has slipped away from him and that his rule is at an end. But those around him—his devoted maid, his loyal servants, and the occasional doctor—maintain the illusion of his authority. Salazar paces from room to room, believing he is still in control of his empire, and becomes a tragic figure living in the past, trapped in his own mental decline.
