Out There plot

The director Haruo returns to Tokyo and holds auditions so that he can shoot a film, part of which has already been shot in Taiwan. The film is about a young couple who decide to emigrate to the United States in the 1970s. During the audition, Haruo meets Ma, a young man from Taiwan. Haruo recognizes himself in him. He has the same alienation that has always struck him. He decides to use this as the film's central theme.
