Otklonenie plot

Neda and Boyan meet again by chance after seventeen years. She's an archaeologist, and he's a successful engineer. Seventeen years earlier, they had a brief but stormy love affair. Wanting to devote themselves entirely to the service of society, they had renounced personal happiness, considering their love an impermissible sidetrack from the demands of the time. Now they reminisce about the impossible love affair they had in the Stalinist period, when love was subordinated to political education and the revolutionary process.
