Otets Sergiy plot

When a wealthy officer learns that his fiancée used to be the mistress of Tsar Nicholas I, he gives up his comfortable existence and becomes a monk. The monastic existence also appears not to be free from human weaknesses and eventually he returns to the 'sinful existence'.
