Oshin plot
Due to the financial situation at home, Oshin has to leave home and hearth at the age of seven to work as a servant for a timber merchant. And life does not spare her. She gets caught up in a snow storm and ends up in a log cabin owned by an ex-serviceman. She is taken to the family home of a wealthy rice merchant, run by a matriarch.
