Ôsaka no Yado plot
Mita Takashi, an insurance company employee in her thirties, is demoted from Tokyo to Osaka due to an incident. Here he finds shelter in an inn, and meets many of the town's citizens. Notable among them are the inn's female employees, an alcoholic geisha, and a mysterious woman Mita encounters at the mailbox.
