Orlando Vargas plot

The French consul in Uruguay, Orlando, has been living overseas for five years with his wife Alice and son Thomas. He is under heavy business pressure. His secretary openly expresses his concerns, while a mysterious man named Costas pays tribute to Vargas for his bravery during discreet meetings. Constantly watched by a police officer, Vargas remains seemingly indifferent to the mounting pressure. Only his alcohol consumption is increasing, but only his son seems to be witnessing this.
