Oranges Amères plot

1945 in Algiers, after the Allied victory. Life is joyous for Angela and her sister Alice, who has become a mother for the second time. But gradually tensions and a gulf between the different communities are growing. The budding passion between Angela and Saïd intensifies, in contrast to an environment that tilts towards hatred and bigotry.
