"When bad things happen to good people..."
Peter, a teacher (Joel Edgerton), lives with his girlfriend Izzy (Robin Tunney) in a perfect little world. They just got engaged and are having a great time. One afternoon when Peter is cleaning up the backyard, he leaves the back window open. A perfect opportunity for a rapist to sneak in... The predictability of their relationship disappears completely after Izzy's rape. Should they love each other more or should they just separate?
