Ontmaskerd plot

Baron Arion de Courmont loves his mother's companion. Viola, thinking that his mother will never agree to a marriage, writes him a letter explaining why she has to leave the house. After reading the letter, the mother approves of the marriage, on one condition: her son must go to America for a year. If his feelings are the same when he comes back, he can marry Viola.
