Oni no Uta plot
Bakyo is a talented but unsuccessful rakugo artist (rakugo is a Japanese form of verbal entertainment). The very successful Rokyu wants to take Bakyo under his wing, but Bakyo refuses. He claims that Rokyu's rakugo is being soiled by elements of kabuki. However, while wandering with his wife, Bakyo changes his mind and becomes determined to learn (or imitate) Rokyu's trade, then put his own spin on it.
