One More Chance plot

After his release from prison, where he served 14 years for manslaughter, Pete Bales arrives in Los Angeles with a purpose. He wants to see his son who was still a baby when Pete was convicted. However, it turns out that his ex-wife has left with the boy for Arizona, where she lives with her new partner. Also, the parole prohibits Pete from crossing a state line. Sheila, a neighbor of Pete's former wife, has her address, but is very wary of the ex-con. Pete must now try to gain her trust in order to locate his son.
